Position Overview

The Education Supervisor is responsible for overseeing the educational quality, curriculum implementation, classroom environment, and teacher support across all age groups (Infants through Pre-K). This role ensures that all classrooms are aligned with the center’s academic goals, state licensing standards, and developmentally appropriate practices. The supervisor provides coaching, conducts observations, supports lesson planning, monitors assessments, and ensures consistency in execution across all programs.

Key Responsibilities

1. Curriculum & Lesson Planning

  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly lesson plans are aligned with curriculum standards (STEAM, Wonder of Learning, etc.).
  • Review and approve lesson plans for all classrooms weekly.
  • Coach teachers on implementing developmentally appropriate practices for ages 6 weeks – 6 years.
  • Coordinate monthly classroom goals/milestones for Infants, Toddlers, Bridge, Preschool, and Pre-K.
2. Classroom Quality & Observations

  • Conduct regular classroom walk-throughs and observations to ensure curriculum fidelity.
  • Monitor learning centers, materials, room setup, cleanliness, and safety.
  • Ensure activities match lesson plans and that learning evidence (artwork, worksheets, assessments, displays) is consistently updated.
3. Teacher Coaching & Training

  • Provide ongoing coaching, modeling, and feedback to teachers.
  • Support new staff with onboarding, curriculum training, classroom structure, and routine expectations.
  • Identify training needs and provide professional development opportunities (STARS, child development, curriculum training, etc.).
  • Promote a positive, collaborative, and growth-oriented culture among teachers.
4. Child Assessment & Documentation

  • Oversee developmental assessments, portfolios, and progress reports.
  • Ensure teachers maintain accurate, timely documentation (anecdotal notes, checklists, photos, milestones).
  • Track children’s progress and support teachers in identifying learning gaps.
  • Review progress report drafts for accuracy, clarity, and developmental alignment.
5. Family Engagement

  • Build positive relationships with families through classroom updates, curriculum visibility, and transparent communication.
  • Participate in parent-teacher conferences as needed.
  • Support teachers in communicating academic progress and addressing concerns professionally.
6. Licensing & Compliance

  • Ensure all classrooms meet state licensing regulations (ratios, supervision, and health/safety standards).
  • Maintain compliance with Early Achievers/Quality Rating expectations.
  • Support emergency drills, health checks, incident report reviews, and safety protocols.
  • Keep classrooms aligned with school policies and operational guidelines.
7. Program Execution & Schoolwide Support

  • Support daily operations by coordinating teacher breaks, classroom coverage, and schedule adjustments when needed.
  • Assist with special events (open houses, parent events, curriculum nights, art shows).
  • Collaborate with administrators to improve academic outcomes and center quality.
  • Lead initiatives to elevate academic rigor, STEAM programs, and enrichment consistency.
Qualifications

  • Associate's or Bachelor’s Degree in Early Childhood Education or a related field (preferred).
  • Minimum 2–3 years of classroom experience with children ages 6 weeks – 6 years.
  • Prior supervisory, lead teacher, or curriculum coordinator experience is strongly preferred.
  • Strong knowledge of child development, curriculum frameworks, and DAP standards.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and coaching skills.
  • Familiarity with state licensing, health & safety, and quality rating systems.
  • Ability to manage multiple classrooms and support a diverse teaching team.

Work Schedule

Full-time position, Monday–Friday 9am to 6pm.

Work Location: In person
Compensation: $55,000.00 - $65,000.00 per year
